Triage Supervisor - Houston, Texas

Clinical Admission Nurse Manager

Marites Madrid, BSN, RN, lives in Houston, Texas, and is a dedicated registered nurse with nearly three decades of experience in nursing and over 14 years specializing in oncology care. Originally from the Philippines, Marites earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1996 and has spent much of her professional life serving patients across multiple countries and care settings.

Prior to relocating to the United States in 2015, Marites lived and worked in the United Kingdom for almost 14 years, where she continued to expand her clinical expertise. After moving to the U.S., she worked as a full-time travel nurse for over two years before choosing to establish permanent roots in Houston. Throughout her career, she has gained experience in oncology, home care nursing, and pediatric cases, and she continues to accept travel nursing assignments when opportunities arise.

Marites is deeply passionate about home-based care, valuing the opportunity it provides to focus not only on the individual receiving care, but also on supporting family members and loved ones involved in the care process. She believes home care allows for greater flexibility, personalization, and dignity, empowering clients to maintain independence and a sense of control while knowing compassionate support is always close by.

Her work across diverse agencies and communities has strengthened her ability to navigate different cultures, belief systems, and family dynamics with sensitivity and respect. Marites is known for her compassionate presence, strong patient advocacy, and commitment to honoring each person’s emotional, physical, and spiritual needs; whether they are navigating serious illness, palliative care, or simply seeking companionship and understanding.

Marites believe that laughter, humor, and human connection are powerful forms of healing. She strives to help clients find moments of joy and comfort, even during life’s most challenging circumstances. A lifelong learner, she views herself as both a teacher and a student, approaching each day as an opportunity to grow, serve, and learn from those she cares for. Deeply grateful for her profession, Marites considers nursing not just a career, but a calling-one rooted in compassion, respect, and the belief that life itself is one of the greatest gifts.
